Mary Ann Hopkins (nee Frank) of Cincinnati. Beloved wife of over 64 years to Arthur R. Hopkins. Devoted mother of Sue (Mark) Noe, Kate (Barney) Beauchamp, Arthur S. Hopkins, Daniel Hopkins, Beth (Tim) Rogers, Lisa Hopkins, Mark (Connie) Hopkins, Matt (Eileen) Hopkins and Jennifer Hopkins. Loving grandmother of 15 Grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Pat (Dave) Bunger, Carol Klare and Carl Frank. Passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the age of 82. Mary Ann was a giving, caring, loving woman. When her children were small she helped sew little stuffed animals for needy children. In more recent years she volunteered for The Fallen Angels/soldier project, filling boxes for our troops and printing and mailing flyers. She was known as the "angel lady" after making thousands of little angels, then giving them away to people she didn't even know to cheer them up, to our deployed troops and to family and friends. Mary Ann survived breast cancer and would talk and encourage others who were cancer fighters as well. She and her two sisters made hundreds of lap quilts and distributed them to area care facilities. They sewed and stuffed little bears for first responders to comfort frightened children after accidents/tragedies. After becoming a resident at Sem Haven Mary Ann learned to make rosaries and made hundreds that were donated. The theme is pretty much the same, Mary Ann loved to give back, to help others and to make people happy. Friends will be received on Sunday from 1 to 3PM at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 129 N Riverside Ave. Loveland, OH 45140. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Monday, October 30, 2017 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8815 E. Kemper Rd. Cincinnati, OH 45249, where friends will also be received from 9 AM until time of Mass. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial donations in Mary Ann's memory may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
