Mary Alice (nee Florea) Bailey, lost her seven month battle with liver cancer on August 1, 2017. She was born on January 18, 1956, the daughter of Clifford and Helen (nee Romohr) Florea, where she was raised on a dairy farm near Wilmington, Ohio.
She was a resident of Blanchester for the last 33 years, where she lived with her beloved husband Brent for their entire married life. They were married on June 2, 1984 in a beautiful outdoor ceremony.
Along with her husband she is survived by four siblings, Ronnie, Kenny (Betty), Darlene (Larry) Williams, and Larry (Janet), plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was a 1974 graduate of Clinton Massie High School. She was employed at Hollon Motor Sales and Curless Printing, both located in Blanchester. Mary also worked at the election polls for over 20 years in Blanchester.
She loved to quilt, and belonged to the Clinton County Quilt Club, she loved sewing and spending time with her quilting buddies.
Mary was blessed with some of the kindest and caring cousins and friends imaginable. She also became good friends with many of the nurses, techs, and doctors and Bethesda North during her fight with cancer where she was admitted for over 70 days.
Friends will be received on Friday, August 4, 2017 from 5-8pm at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio, with funeral services the following morning at 11am. Interment will take place at Morrow Cemetery.
Funeral services will be lead by Mary's nephew, Ethan Thompson and the eulogy by her dear friend, Amy Nurre. Music by her cousin Ardeana Thomas.
