Mary Muntiu, age 89 formerly of Munster, IN passed away August 25, 2014 in Mason, OH. Proud mother of three daughters: Donna Muntiu Staples (Wheaton, IL), Joann Muntiu Mills (Jeff) (Wexford, PA) and Sara Nelson (Mason); 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John Muntiu, parents John and Ana Budrean and brothers George and John. Mary was born in East Chicago, IN on July 11, 1925. Graduate of East Chicago Washington High School and retired from Inland Steel Research. She was an enthusiastic volunteer for Munster Community Hospital, member of the Carmen Silva Women's Society, past officer of Woodmar Women's Club and member of RAYS-Romanian American Youth Society.
