Martha "Marty" Smith of Loveland, Ohio, passed away June 26, 2023, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of 45 years to the late Philip "Phil" Smith. Cherished mother of John (Gina) Smith. Dear sister of the late Jean (Bud) Graham. Caring aunt of 7 nieces and nephews. Marty Smith was involved with local amateur boxing for more than 40 years. Marty was a licensed boxing judge, getting her start in the sport by working with her late husband, Phil Smith, at Emmanuel Community Center then the Norwood Boxing Club. Phil and Marty, along with Rollie Schwartz and Buddy Larosa, helped revive the Cincinnati Golden Gloves. Marty was the first woman inducted into the Golden Gloves Hall of Fame and is best known simply as 'Miss Marty' in local boxing venues. Family and friends will be received on Monday, July 3rd from 5 - 7 PM at Tufts-Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N Riverside Ave., Loveland, where a service will be held at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to an arthritis or cancer foundation of your choice.
