Mark Gerard Ziegelmeyer of Blanchester, Ohio, passed away on February 5, 2022, at the age of 61. Born on October 10 ,1960 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of John and Elizabeth (nee Flake) Ziegelmeyer. After graduating from Colerain high school, Mark served his country as a soldier in the US Army. During his military career, he worked as a military police officer and an Army Ranger. Mark went on to serve the community of Miami Township as a Police Sergeant for many years and eventually retired. Along with his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kimberly Ziegelmeyer. He is survived by his children, Andrew (William Collins) Ziegelmeyer and Sarah (Matt Motley) Ziegelmeyer; sisters, Trisha (Chris) Ditullio and Patricia (Stuart) Kenney; numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio, where friends will be received from 11am until the time of service. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Montgomery, Ohio, with full military honors.
