Mark Alan Shary of Maineville Ohio peacefully passed away at home after a long battle with cancer on November 1,2021 at the age of 69. He is the beloved husband of of Laura (nee McDonough) Shary and the loving father of Stephen (Lucia) Shary, Suzanne (Jeremy) Boyle and Catherine (Peter) Fox. He is the cherished grandfather of Orion Shary, Isaac Shary, Keegan Boyle and Celia Boyle. Mark was preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Pearl (nee Rudy) Shary. Mark was born in Akron Ohio. After graduating from Cuyahoga Falls High School, Mark earned his Bachelor Degree in political science from Wittenberg University and was a brother of Phi Kappa Psi. He began his career with O'Neils Department Store as a furniture buyer. He worked throughout his career for various department stores and retired from Macys in 2019. Mark enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, taking them fishing, for ice cream, and to the park. Mark loved music and sang in the choir at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and then St. Philip the Apostle Church. Mark loved cheering on the Browns and going to the movies. He and a close group of friends enjoyed going to various NASCAR races, but particularly the Indy 500. Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday, November 9th from 5 to 7 PM at the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Avenue, Loveland, OH 45140. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at the St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 944 E. U.S. 22, Morrow, OH 45152. Interment will be held at Heritage Acres Memorial Sanctuary 796 Locust Corner Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45245. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be directed in Mark's memory to Queen City Hospice, 4605 Duke Blvd., Suite 220, Mason, OH 45040, Catholic Relief Services, 228 W.
