Marion Ackman of Loveland passed away on May 2, 2017 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Margie (nee Kelly) Ackman. Loving father of Stephen (Diana) Ackman, Susan (Edward) Ackman Yarcusko, David Ackman, and Scott (Lori) Ackman. Cherished grandfather of Amanda Hough, Amy, Jennifer, Jeremy, Sean, Megan, Samantha, and Nicholas. Proud great-grandfather of Olivia Huff and Leona Ackman. Also survived by siblings Marcella Luck, Rhoda Rolfes, John Ackman and Ted Ackman of California. He was preceded in death by his father and mother George and Marie Ackman. Upon graduation from High School Marion began a career of service to the Ford Motor Company from 1953 to 1986. In his early years he also gave service to the nation through the United States Naval Reserve. He and Margie were married in 1956 enjoying 60 years together. Throughout his life he was an avid gardener, fisherman, woodworker and keeper of bees. Upon retirement he focused more attention on bee culture growing his colonies, serving as bee inspector of Warren and Clermont Counties and sharing his knowledge and love of these industrious creatures. Family and friends will be received from 5-8PM on Thursday, May 4 at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Ave, Loveland, Ohio. The Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 5 at 10AM at St. Philip Apostle, 944 US-22 & 3, Morrow, Ohio. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
