Marilyn Hopkins, née Norton, born March 8, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio, peacefully passed away on May 3, 2026, in Blanchester, Ohio.

Marilyn was the beloved wife of the late Jerry Hopkins, who preceded her in death. She was the daughter of Gilbert Norton and Elva (Whitaker) Norton, who have also passed on. Marilyn grew up surrounded by her siblings, some of whom have left this world before her: Bill Norton and Carolyn Smhurr. She is lovingly survived by her siblings Benny Norton, Brenda Brown, Bobbie Alsip, and Tim Norton.

A loving mother, Marilyn, is survived by her children, Jeff Hopkins and his wife Stephanie, and Michelle Swinderman and her husband Fred. Her legacy is beautifully carried on by her grandchildren: Cody Hopkins (Megan Norris), Reilly Hopkins, Kelsey Hopkins, Morgan Ledford and her husband Grant, and Logan Swinderman and his wife Paige. She also took great joy in her great-grandchildren: Claire Hopkins, Mavery Ledford, Haven Ledford, and Wren Swinderman, whose lives she touched deeply.

The funeral service will be held at 1PM on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W Main Street, Blanchester, Ohio, where friends will be received from 11Am until the time of service.

Interment will take place at Blanchester Cemetery.

Marilyn’s leaves behind a profound legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
