Margaret Alene (nee Vires) McPherson of Goshen, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 25, 2026, at the age of 95.

Born on May 24, 1931, in Jackson, Kentucky, Margaret lived a life centered on faith, family, and love. She was the beloved wife of the late Reuben McPherson; the loving mother of Anna (Garry) Throckmorton, Sharon (Tom) Thacker, Darrell (Sherry) McPherson, and the late Danny McPherson; and the cherished mother-in-law of Brenda McPherson.

Margaret was a caring and proud grandmother to seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. She was the dear sister of Orvis Vires and Mervin Vires and the cherished daughter of the late Everett and Vina (nee Miller) Vires.

She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends whose lives were touched by her kindness, faith, and loving spirit.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 12 Noon to 1 PM on Friday, September 11, at House of Restoration, 1487 State Route 131, Milford, Ohio 45150 where services will be held on Friday at 1 PM.

The inurnment will take place at Batavia Union Cemetery.

Margaret's love, strength, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
