Margaret Ann (Duermit) Amiot, age 95, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a beautiful legacy of love and family.
Born on April 18, 1931, Margaret lived a long and meaningful life filled with love, laughter, faith, and devotion to those she held dear. A woman of vibrant spirit, she brought warmth and joy to everyone around her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George “Eddie” Amiot. Together, they built a life and family that would continue to grow and flourish through generations. Along with her husband, she was preceded by her father, Carl Duermit; her mother, Margaret Kaucher; and her brother, Michael Duermit.
Margaret was the loving mother of four children: Michael, Andrea, Todd, and Paul. Her family grew to include 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. What an extraordinary legacy of love to leave behind.
Tenderhearted and selfless, Margaret had a special place in her heart for children and found great joy in being surrounded by family. She loved gardening, spending time on her farm, and caring for animals, especially her beloved dogs. She appreciated life’s simple pleasures and found happiness in the beauty of nature and the companionship of those she loved.
Her life spanned nearly a century, witnessing countless changes in the world, but her faith and the importance of family, love, and kindness remained constant.
Although she will be deeply missed, Margaret’s love will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
A life well lived, a family deeply loved, and a legacy that will continue for generations.
