Born in Harrison, OH she was the daughter of T. Edward and Mary M. (Binotsch) Smith. She married Herbert Throenle on November 9, 1935 and he preceded her in death November 25, 1991. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Edward Smith and two sisters, Gertrude Wolf and Mary Barry. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. She was a member of the 8 & 40 Salon of the American Legion and the VFW Ladies Auxillary. She had worked for the former Spade Trcuking Company and the Auto Lite Company until her retirement.
