Maddalena "Lana" Cardone
Born in Naples, Italy on October 18, 1927 - November 29, 2021. Lana immigrated to the US in 1946 through Ellis Island. She was a long time resident of Toledo, Ohio. Lana was a very talented, successful business entrepreneur and Master Photographer with several photos purchased by the Art Museum in Toledo. Lana also resided in Marrietta, GA, Gatlinburg, TN, Rockwall, TX and was cared for at Cedar Village Senior Living located in Mason, OH, where she passed of natural causes to be with our Lord and Savior.
As a strong, devoted Christian, Lana was very active in the lives of her Parents, 5 Siblings, 4 Children, 12 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren and extended family members. Outside of her family, Lana's hobbies were her life's work; live radio and choir singing,(where she had the opportunity to sing with the Toledo symphony and also with Lanny Ross at the Toledo Zoo amphitheater), counseling, classic artwork restoration and antique/ art sales. Retiring at age 86.
Lana has touched the lives of many people with her wisdom, vitality, generosity, compassion, meaningful conversations.
There were always many, many smiles and fond memories.
Preceded in death by her beloved parents; Elvira & Vincent Cardone of Naples Italy. Former Husband: T.E. Cowell, SSGT, USAAC, WW II of Toledo, OH. Brother; Mario Cardone of Naples Italy/Toledo, OH.
Survived by her Sons; Robert "Bob" & wife, Gail Cowell of Wilmington, OH. Mario & wife, Mary Cowell of Duncan, OK. Mark Cowell of Winnsboro, TX.
Daughter; Sue Weatherbee & husband, Stan of Cumby, TX.
Siblings, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.
Private memorial services will be held at various locations In OH, TN, TX and Naples, Italy.
