Rusley
June 7, 1943 – February 20, 2024
Lynne Kay Rusley, 80, of Mason, Ohio, entered into God's Kingdom on February 20th, 2024.
She was born on June 7th, 1943, to Beulah and Leroy Whannel in Waterloo, Iowa. After she graduated from Traer High School, she went to Northern Iowa University to get an undergraduate and master's degree in teaching. After graduating, she held various teaching positions before she became a tenured professor at Missouri Southern State College. She held that position until she retired and moved to Ohio.
Lynne loved sports. She was a lifelong devoted Chicago Cubs and Dallas Cowboys fan. After she moved to Ohio, she became a big fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals too. She also loved watching PGA Golf, especially Tiger Woods. At one time, Lynne was an avid golfer and had a hole-in-one. Additionally, she was active in the P.E.O. Sisterhood of Women who are purposeful and passionate about celebrating, supporting, and motivating women through education. And most importantly, Lynne loved Jesus and God.
Lynne was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Eric Rusley and his wife Jennifer, Janean Dicari and her husband Fran, Jason Rusley, and his wife Missy; her brothers, Stuart Whannel and his partner Von, Jay Whannel and his wife Toni, and Gene Whannel and his wife Lisa; her ten grandchildren, Korbyn Dicari, Domenic Dicari, Siena Dicari, Lindsay Hartman, Dylan Rusley, Sara Rusley, Kori Rusley, Kamryn Rusley, Alexis Rusley and Morgan Rusley, and her great granddaughter Keeley Dicari.
Lynne was predeceased by her parents Beulah and Leroy Whannel; her granddaughters, Megan Rusley and Stefanie Whannel; and her beloved dog Tiger.
A celebration of life and services will be held at Tufts-Schildmeyer Funeral Home in Loveland, Ohio Saturday April 6, 2024 at 11:00am where friends and family will be received 10:00am until the hour of Celebration. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to ASPCA, an organization Lynne routinely donated to and felt strongly about.
Immediately Following the Life Celebration Service, friends and family are invited to Bishop's Quarter 212 W Loveland Ave Loveland, Ohio 45140 3rd Floor Private Patio.
