IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Luther "Luke"
Burton
July 28, 1975 – June 29, 2024
Luther (Luke) Larry Wendell Burton (1975-2024)
Luke Burton, 48, of Loveland, Ohio died on June 29, 2024. He was born in 1975 to Joyce Burton (Hoskins). He attended Goshen Schools before attending the University of Cincinnati to study computer science. Luke then went on to work for Cincinnati Bell/AltaFiber where he worked for over 20 years.
Luke was a very proud father to his two children Henry and Audrey Burton. They will dearly miss him and the love, laughs, knowledge, and enriching life he gave them. He was a loving and supportive husband to his wife Lindsey Burton (Cooper). He will continue to be loved by his mother Joyce Burton (Hoskins), brother Nick Inabnitt, sister Cindy Ostendarp (Inabnitt), grandmother Amanda Hoskins, aunt and uncle Leona and Larry Smith, uncle Doug Hoskins, cousins Amanda Hoskins, Ryan Smith and Todd Smith.
Luke enjoyed spending time with his family, playing games, watching football, going out to eat or chilling at home. He was always telling jokes and playing or listening to music. He enjoyed a good cup of coffee and playing his records in the morning.
Other than spending time with his family, Luke had many facets to his life, his career at Cincinnati Bell being one of them. When he realized he could get paid for what he knew, instead of what he did, he found his work very fulfilling. But what he loved most about Cincinnati Bell were the people he worked with; he loved and respected his work family.
Luke loved music, all aspects of it. From his extensive record collection, going to concerts, playing music with friends, building guitars, collecting instruments and pedals, and specially making music. He was in the process of completing an album, something that was very special to him, and provided him with a much-needed creative outlet.
Luke was incredibly knowledgeable. If you had a question or needed something fixed, you would go to Luke for answers or help. His love for technology was integral in his job, everyday life, and even in aspects of his music. From constructing computers with his son, fixing cars/lawnmowers, building guitars from scratch, whatever the latest technology Luke was learning about it.
Luke was a genuine guy who was easy to talk to, incredibly funny, fiercely loyal, passionate, giving and easy to love. He will forever be remembered for the great man he was.
A Celebration of Luke's Life will be held on Saturday, July 13 at 11 AM at Branches Church, 6541 Arbrocrest Rd., Loveland, where friends will be received from 10 AM until time of service.
