Lucy (nee Slusher) Bessey of Goshen, OH. Born on July 26, 1935 in Bell County, KY. Went home to be with the Lord on March 23, 2017 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of 27 years to Robert H. Bessey III. Loving mother of Sandra (Ken) Tarvin, Lester (Missy) Saylor, Carl (Tami) Bessey, Walter (Sandy) Bessey, Calleen (Bill) Demangone, Lynne (John) Rubenstahl and Kimberly (David) New. Proud grandmother of 26 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Dear sister of 12 siblings. Best friend of Barbara Snider. Cherished daughter of the late Frank and Miranda (nee Roark) Slusher. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Services will be held on Monday, March 27, 7:30 PM at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where friends will be received from 6 PM until the time of service.
