Lora Lee (Wise) Thompson, born in Indianapolis Indiana to Charles Nixon Wise and Grace (Yates) Wise. Graduated from Emmerich Manual High School, Class of 1967. Married Bill Thompson in 1968 and had three children. Lora was a homemaker for many years and a floral designer. Divorced in 1996. Most recently Lora worked at Family Dollar in Blanchester. Lora tended her many friends like she tended her garden. Always sprinkling love generously, reaching out to those in need, offering kindness and coffee and a sweet note. She did not measure value in material things, but in how much she helped others, whether it was a sickly kitten or a lonely neighbor. She was immensely proud of her grandchildren, never forgetting a birthday or special occasion. They will hear her voice throughout the years saying "I'm so proud of you!" Anyone who knew Lora knew how much she loved the ocean. Her ashes will be scattered at Ocean Beach in San Francisco. So that everyone who loved her can be present, a celebration of her life will be arranged later this year. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Blanchester Food Pantry where she volunteered. She is survived by her brothers Charles Nixon "Nick" Wise (Sylvia) and Philip "Gene" Wise. Son Bill and daughter in law Clea Thompson and their children Lily and Elijah. Daughter Becky Thompson and son in law Ricky Fu and their children Cece and Miles Fu. Daughter Ruby Thompson and her daughter Nerissa "Nico" Lannerd. Preceded in death by her dear friends Bettie South, Pat Thatcher and sister in law Montez Wise, who are probably letting her cheat at Yahtzee.
