Obituary

Lonnie Carl Evans of Milford, OH, went home to be with Our Lord and Savior on April 11, 2026, at the age of 86. Lonnie was born on January 18, 1940, in Lynch, KY.

He was the beloved husband of 50 years to Wilma Jean (nee Cobb) Evans, loving father of Jennifer Pond and son-in-law of the late Stuart Pond Jr., proud grandfather of Stuart Pond III and William Pond, dear brother of Coy Evans and cherished son of the late Avery and Sarah (nee Lay) Evans. Also survived by many relatives and dear friends.

Lonnie graduated from Knox Central High School in 1957. Following his graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy. After completing his military service, Lonnie began a long and dedicated career with Formica Inc., where he worked for approximately 40 years.

A skilled craftsman, Lonnie enjoyed making custom knives and took pride in staying busy. He especially loved working outdoors, whether tending to yard work or repairing and maintaining machinery. In his leisure time, he found great enjoyment in reading history books, watching western and military films, and collecting coins.
