IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lois Ann
Mirus
September 6, 1931 – October 13, 2025
Lois Ann (Glassmeyer) Mirus was born in Cincinnati OH on Sept.6, 1931 to Amelia (Hallfarth) and Carl Glassmeyer. She passed away peacefully on Oct.13, 2025. She graduated from Seton H.S. and married Roy Charles Mirus in 1949. After having four children, she went to college at Our Lady of Cincinnati and was an elementary teacher at St. Michael (Sharonville), St. Savior (Deer Park), Reading S.D. and Sycamore S.D. While teaching she returned to school at Xavier University and became a school psychologist. Lois ran the Cincinnati Public S.D. Diagnostic Center for many years and also oversaw the psychologists assigned to parochial/private schools. After retirement she became the school psychologist for St. Margaret of York (Loveland).
Lois was a friend and mentor to many. Her life centered around her family and her faith. Though a "working mother" she always took care of the household. Roy and Lois were married for 60 years and enjoyed traveling and being with family and friends. When they moved to Landen Lake in 1985, they both became very involved at the young parish St. Margaret of York (SMOY). Roy built the first ossuary and the stairs for the Baptismal font as well as many bookcases for the growing school. Lois was SMOY's first school psychologist. They both were involved in the Out to Lunch Bunch, the summer festival (calling BINGO) and doing whatever was needed at SMOY.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, her son Richard Jay, her brother Kenneth, her son-in-law Dallas Trinkle Jr. and her parents. She is survived by her son Dan (Pegge) Mirus, her daughters Gail Trinkle and Deborah (Bill) Clawson, her daughter-in-law Kim Mirus, her grandchildren Liz (Todd) Miller, Traci (Jason) Lewis, Dallas Trinkle III (Devon Hague), Christine Trinkle (Jonathan Wenk), Amy (Clay) Barrett, Bill (Carla) Clawson, Cathy (Jared) Febo, Charlie (Missy) Mirus and 18 great-grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be held at Good Shepherd on Sat.Nov.22, 2025 at 10am with visitation 8:45-9:45. Burial will follow the mass at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
We would like to thank the Lodge Retirement Community/Nursing Center for Lois's care these past 3 years and Hospice of Cincinnati for being there during the last few weeks. Donations may be made to Meals on Wheels of Warren County, 6141 Market Ave., Middletown OH 45005 or the charity of your choice.
