Obituary

Linnie Faye Kidd (nee Smith), born on November 29, 1930 in Felicity, Ohio, entered heaven's gates on June 4, 2017. She spent her life's career as a homemaker married to Vern W. Kidd Jr., the love of her life for 69 years on May 29, 2017. She will be remembered as the best Mother and Grandma ever to her two daughters, five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Linnie shared her unwavering faith in God with everyone. Her daughters grew up hearing her sing her favorite hymns such as I Love to Tell the Story. She always sang them to her grandchildren and often spoke of heaven. Linnie loved cooking and baking. Every meal was cooked with love, especially her incredible pies. She loved gardening and showcasing the beautiful flowers in her gardens. She was also an avid bird watcher. She also had many ceramic birds. She was happiest when surrounded by her family. Linnie is survived by her husband Vern W. Kidd Jr., her two daughters Linda S. Arnold and Pamela J. Bach (Richard), her brother Robert Smith (Jan), and her sister Shirley Wigglesworth. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Julia Egan (Richard), Elaina Maloney (Paul), Jeremy Bach (Elizabeth), Eric Bach, and Chris Wall (Alicia). She has 7 great-grandchildren: Ashleigh Maloney, Addison Maloney, Alivia Maloney, Audrey Egan, Jonah Bach, Alexis Wall, and Tinley Wall, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Linnie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mimi Smith, along with 8 siblings: Richard Smith, Dora Kirker, Herbert Smith, Stanley Smith, Helen Swearingen, Wilma Bick, James Smith, and Marie Hamilton. The family will receive friends on June 10, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, OH 45122. A funeral service celebrating Linnie's life will immediately follow the visitation. Interment Maplewood Cemetery, Ripley, Ohio. Proverbs 31:10-31 10 Who can find a virtuous woman?
