"She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come" Linda Lou (Ball) Puckett went home to the Lord—and her beloved Cleve—November 6, 2021. She departed this world in the manner in which she lived her life: surrounded by family, enveloped by laughter and love, in the space her grace made a home.
"Her children arise and call her blessed" Counselor, consoler, cheerleader, homemaker, teacher, nourisher, rocker of babies and role model for life—we are who we are because of her. Mom to Cherie and Terrie; Mamaw to her grandchildren Rebekah, Rachel and Jakob and her great grandchildren Riley, Bryson, and Aiden; Sis to her prayed-for sisters Dora and Bev, and dear brother Sam; Sister by choice of Kent, Emily, and Jason; Aunt Linda to Katie, Leah, Lydia, Stephen, Mackensie, Jewel, Sammy, Michael, and Nicholas; and Mamaw and mom by choice to Grant and Andy. Loved by nieces, nephews, cousins, and family too numerous to list. Blessed daughter of the late Herbert and Hazel Ball.
"…her husband also, and he praises her: "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." Jesus was her soul, and Cleve her heart, but her mind and will were all hers. She defied convention and societal expectations in the most delightful and often underrated ways—the totality of which only becoming apparent in the many memories shared.
"She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks" From childhood her one wish was to be a wife and mother. Helping all her babies grow into kind, generous, and happy adults meant a life well-lived. That which she did outside this role was born of necessity not passion, making her successes even more admirable.
"She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy" In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Linda's memory can be directed to the Cincinnati YWCA, for their House of Peace, via their website: https://www.ywcacincinnati.org/how-to-help/annual-fund-campaign/.
