Lester Proctor, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on October 4, 2024, at home, surrounded by family.

Born July 20, 1941, in Loveland Park, Ohio, in a tent, behind a wood stove. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 21 years, two months, and 14 days. That included three tours in Vietnam, one tour in Turkey, and one tour in Thule, Greenland. Lester retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergent. He was a faithful member of Valley View Church in Englewood, Ohio.

Lesters kindness and compassion earned respect from all who knew him. His absence will be felt by his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.

He was the beloved father of Bobbie Andrews-Green, Paul Proctor, and Jeff (Ruth) Proctor; loving grandfather of nine and great-grandfather of 16; dear brother of Danny (Wendy) Proctor and Jack Proctor.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra (nee Mansker) Proctor; a daughter, Mary Proctor; parents, Clyde and Frances (nee Jones) Proctor.

The funeral service will be held at 7 PM on Friday, October 11, 2024, where friends will be received from 5 PM until the time of service.

Interment will take place at 10 AM on October 25, 2024, at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
