Lester Roy Boggs of Goshen, OH. Passed away suddenely on Saturday, September 26, 2020 in Gatlinburg, TN at the age of 61. He was born on April 20, 1959 in Monticello, KY to Buster and Shirley Boggs. He moved to Ohio in 1963 and shortly thereafter became a resident of Goshen, OH. He went Goshen local schools. Roy joined the United States Army after leaving high school. After his four years of service he married Karen Begley. Roy and Karen had three sons and one daughter. Roy worked hard as a semi truck driver with Hillsboro Transportation. In 1999, Roy remarried Sherry Marcum Jones. Roy loved to travel, was an avid hunter and fisherman, had a passion for photography and cherished his family and his dog, Dobie. He is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Sherry Ann (nee Marcum) Boggs; three sons, Travis Jones, Jeremy (Marci) Boggs and Jason Boggs, one daughter, Samantha Boggs; two proud grandchildren, Levi Jones and Shelby Henise; loving sisters, Patricia Schmidt and Joyce Bullock; dear brothers, Gary Bullock, Phil Bullock and Terry Bullock. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends. Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Buster and Shirley (nee Jones) Boggs. Friends will be received on Friday, October 2, 5 PM - 8 PM at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will be held on Saturday, October 3, 10 AM. Interment, Goshen Cemetery, Goshen TWP, OH. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Roy Boggs to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45206. Rev. Melvin Garner will be the minister for Roy's services. Pallbearers for Roy are: Travis Jones, Jason Boggs, Jesse Boggs, Jason Keal, Wayne Oliver and Nick Fisher.
