Cherished son of Doris E. (nee Masters) Carpenter and the late Raymond W. Carpenter of Wheeling, WV, beloved husband of the late Sue Ellen (nee Nestor) Carpenter, loving father of Belinda Sue (Neil Allen) Armstrong of Loveland, OH., proud grandfather of Dylan James and Madelyn Leslie Armstrong, also of Loveland, OH, dear brother of Larry A. (Cathy) Carpenter of Wheeling, WV, and Gary D. (Jennifer) Carpenter of Elizabeth, PA. Mr. Carpenter is a graduate of Warwood High School and received his BS degree in accounting from West Liberty State College. Early in his career, Mr. Carpenter began his employment with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, later went on to work for the West Virginia State Dept. of Tax and Revenue in Charleston, WV, was business manager for the Ohio County Schools, in Wheeling, WV, returned to, and retired from the West Virginia State Dept. of Tax and Revenue, after retirement worked for The Smart Group – CPA Firm in Huntington, WV, and served as a volunteer on the Board of Goodwill Industries. He was a life long member of the Warwood Christian Church in Wheeling, WV. Family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Easter Seals, Goodwill Industries, or to the charity of ones choice.
