With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lesa G. Harris, who passed away on August 14, 2026, at the age of 72.
Lesa was the beloved wife of Gary Harris. She leaves behind her daughters, Cherie (Marcus) Shelton, Erin (Don) Kuhr, and Jessica (Chris) Plominski. Her legacy continues in her cherished grandchildren: Lucas (Evette) Shelton, Jacob Shelton, Beckham Plominski, Emerly Plominski, and AdaGrace Kuhr. It was through their laughter, curiosity, and affection that Lesa found her highest joy. Every moment spent with her grandchildren filled her with immeasurable happiness. Among her surviving family is her sister, Anita Sue Whitson.
Lesa’s life was also shaped by the memory of those who went before her. She is now reunited with her parents, Harold and Ada Lee Lewis. She also joins her beloved sister Barbara Tucker in rest and peace.
Lesa embraced life with creativity. She was an avid seamstress and crafter, always working with her hands. Lesa’s artistic spirit found further expression in Tole painting. She also found tranquility in travel, often retreating to the soothing shores of Florida beaches or the majestic scenery of the Smoky Mountains. These beloved places became the backdrop for family adventures and memories made.
Friends will be received from 5 PM to 7 PM on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W Main St, Blanchester, Ohio.
The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home-Blanchester.
Interment will take place at Edwardsville Cemetery.
As we remember Lesa G. Harris, we carry forward the love she infused into our lives. Though she is gone from our sight, her legacy endures in the hearts of her loved ones and in the beauty, she created all around her.
