Leroy "Lee" Albert Blessing, 70, of Loveland, returned to our Lord's loving arms on December 24, 2014.
He was born in Cincinnati to caring parents Leonard and Alberta (both deceased). The youngest of three children, Lee loved to tease his sisters Carol Liggett and Lois Womelsdorf. Having a large extended family, Lee was uncle to 7 nieces and nephews. Lee was a kind and devoted father to Karen Sladek and Amy Rossbach. To his grandsons, Roger Carrier and Kevin Carrier, he was generous with his time and talents. He loved his 6 great grandchildren: Nicholas Carrier, David Carrier, Olivia Carrier, Karson Carrier, Logan Eads, and Xavier Eads. Lee had a warm heart and generous spirit that he shared with his godson, Michael Carrier, and his "adopted" granddaughters, Haley Carrier and Katelyn Carrier.
Lee was a private person yet developed a deep, lasting friendship with William Carrier and a special, life-long bond with Joanne Carrier. Lee was a welder for over 20 years with Louvers and Dampers. He loved to play pranks on his co-workers, family, and friends. He enjoyed reading, bowling, and watching sports on TV. He will be greatly missed.
Lee's family and friends will be received, Friday January 2, 2015 from 9 am - 10 am, at St. Columban Parish, 894 Oakland, Loveland, OH. The memorial service will follow, starting at 10 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (Cincinnati Chapter), 4420 Carver Woods Drive, Blue Ash, OH 45242, or Hospice of Cincinnati, P.O. Box 633597, Cincinnati, OH 45263-3597.
