Hillegonda "Leny" Magdalene (nee VanWyk) of Goshen, OH. Born on January 18, 1930 in Nieuw Vennep, Haarlemmermeer, The Netherlands. Went home to be with the Lord on January 8, 2018 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of 63 years to Cornelis "Neil" Bruynis. Loving mother of Nick (Gail) Bruynis, Lynn (Eric) Broyles and Chris (Kathy) Bruynis. Caring grandmother of Michelle (Scott) Pendang, Elizabeth Bruynis, Susan Bruynis, Michael (Jennifer) Broyles, Christopher Broyles, Jason (Amanda) Broyles, Stephen (Alicia) Broyles, Timothy Broyles, Virginia (James) Smith, Heather (Carl) Hoy, Danielle (Clinton) Hirschfeld and Lauren (Chris) Witek. Proud great-grandmother of Kalena Pendang, Kalani Pendang, Sophie Broyles, Samuel Broyles, Aaron Broyles, Jacob Broyles, Jackson Broyles, Hudson Broyles, Jimmy Smith, Victoria Smith, Mason Smith, Addison Shifflet, Case Hoy, Reagan Hirschfeld and Benjamin Hirschfeld. Preceded in death by her parents, Lambertus and Pietertje (nee Biesheuvel) VanWyk, four brothers and eight sisters. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 5 PM - 8 PM at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, OH. Services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 10 AM at Pleasant Plain Presbyterian Church, 10198 St. Rt. 132, Pleasant Plain, OH, where friends will be received from 9 AM until the time of service.
