Lawrence E. Golden Jr. of Goshen, OH. Born on January 3, 1928 in Loyall, KY. Entered into Eternal Rest on June 5, 2016, age 88. Loving husband of the late Patricia M. (nee Alexander) Golden. Loving father of Edward (Kayla Clinton) Golden and Denise (Roy) Carl. Caring grandfather of Vanessa (Joe) Jones, Derek (Natasha) Clinton, Kara (Mike Durbin) Clinton and Kourtney (Josh) Zieger. Proud great-grandfather of five. Dear brother of the late Jean Ellis. Special friend of Yvonne Vanlandingham. Cherished son of the late Lawrence and Grace (nee Fuson) Golden. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Lawrence was a long time teacher in the Goshen school system. "Lawrence earned his undergraduate degree from Union College and both his Master and E. D. degrees from Central State University. He spent many years traveling throughout the United States in support of the Kentucky Wildcats, a tradition he passed on to his children. Lawrence enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and traveling home and abroad. He also loved the Bluegrass State of Kentucky, especially his hometown of Loyall in Harlan County." Friends will be received from 6 - 8 PM on Wednesday, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will be held on Thursday, June 9, 10 AM. Interment, Myers Cemetery.
