Laurie Rose Gordon's Obituary

Laurie Rose McIntosh Gordon of Loveland Ohio died of pulmonary and heart issues on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Bethesda North Hospital. She was born May 7, 1941 at the Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan. Barbara Rose Anderson and Kenneth Stuart McIntosh were her parents and preceded her in death. California was where Laurie and her family lived during her school years; attending La Jolla Jr. Sr. High School and San Diego State University. Following her marriage to her loving husband, Bruce William Gordon, they lived in Chicago IL, Oklahoma City, OK, Jacksonville and Panama City, FL and finally settled in Loveland in the 70s. Laurie was a fan of knitting, painting, collecting blue glass and antiques, and crafting. She participated in many organizations, Loveland Presbyterian Church, PEO, Loveland Womens Club, Loveland Historical Society, Ladies of the Round Table and was selected as The Valentine Lady of Loveland, 2016. Surviving members of the family are her devoted husband, Bruce William Gordon and their sons, spouses and grandchildren: Robert Bruce Gordon (Andrea Dominique, Kyle and Sarah, Alec) William Stuart Gordon (Tanya Humm, Taylor Rose & Tye Stuart) and Scott McIntosh Gordon (Jamie Lee and Sydney). Also, her only sister, Mary Stuart McIntosh Osborn and nieces Jennifer Osborn (Jordan and Allison), Catherine Ettinger (Nicholas & Steven) and Amanda Wintenburg (Thomas & Jason). Aunts: Joyce Kaufmann (Katherine Anderson and Kristine Scull) and Jane Costello (Margaret Morrone, Nancy Costello, Mark Francis Costello, Jr., Thomas Costello and Sean Costello). Laurie loved her family and friends unconditionally, was incredibly generous of her time and talent, was a thoughtful, willing worker and was also loving. BEST FRIEND EVER! A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 4:00pm with a reception immediately following. The family will receive guests until 7:00pm.
