Laurel Frances Winslow (nee Soule) passed away on August 29, 2022 at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence A. Dear grandmother of Jacqueline (Robert) Winslow, Lawrence Winslow (III), Laurel (Josh) Beeman, Julie (Chris) Flores, Ann (David) Groomes, Connie Sporing, Gracie Winslow, Mercy Winslow, Isabel Love Winslow, Wilbur Winslow, Walter Winslow, Emma Winslow, Sophia Winslow, Katie (Patrick) McCue, Kelley Bell, Kirby Bell, Tony Bell, Jonathan (Treisy) Bell, Elizabeth Bell, Jamie Bell, Austin Kirby, and Amy (Griffin) Cutlip. Dear great-grandmother of Inana (Tom) Peck, Malichi Davis, Vincent Mazzocca, Liana Beeman, Levi Beeman, Jada Flores, Eden Flores, Aria Groomes, Abraham Groomes, Sparrow Groomes, Fionn McCue, and Fia McCue. Dear great great-grandmother of Hazel Peck. Laurel was born in Charlotte, North Carolina to Florence (Hamel) and George Soule. Laurel graduated Central High School in Charlotte in 1942. She graduated from Trinity College, Washington, D.C. in 1946. From 1946 until 1950 Laurel was a chemist at the Nation Bureau of Standards in Washington, D.C. She worked as a chemist at Marion Merrell Dow in Cincinnati, Ohio from 1968 until 1996. Private Services will be held. Interment Hopewell Cemetery.
