Kitty S. Huff was born May 6, 1958 in Kingsport, Tennessee to the union of the late Evelyn I. Carter Huff and Charles F. Huff, Sr.
She attended Dobyns Bennett High School, where she graduated from. She then went on to college at York College in Nebraska, while there she met and fell in love with Eddie Crandall, who asked her hand in marriage. She also became a loving mother to 3 children. She taught 1st grade for 1 year. Then in Casper, Wyoming taught daycare, then moved to Cheyanne, Wyoming, then to Gillette, Wyoming. From there she made her way back home to Kingsport, Tennessee where she became a grandmother. She was employed at Citi Bank, in Gray, Tennessee and at that time she learned of her sickness of Breast Cancer, which spread to her bones in 2005.
Care started at Hematology Oncology Center and Hospice of Tennessee, along with care being given from family members at home. On October 30, 2013 she was sent home to call and inform family members to come in, for it would not be long for her departure from us. I must say she was a true champion, she made a statement in February of 2014 on her way to Cincinnati, Ohio with her sister, that would be her last trip, and she was correct. She was taken care of by family members and Hospice of Cincinnati, Ohio where she departed this life.
She leaves behind to mourn her death: 2 daughters (Eve lynn Huff and Jasmine Gillenwater) of Kingsport, Tennessee. 1 Grandson Aiden Crandall of Kingsport, Tennessee, 4 sisters; Zeffree Price (Floyd) of Cincinnati, Ohio Reba Austin (Henry) of North Carolina, Virginia Huff of Kingsport, Tennessee, Sharon Gerard (Gerard, Sr.) of South Carolina. 4 brothers Charles Huff, Jr. (Mille) of Florida, Harold Huff (Felicia) of New Market, Tennessee, Mark Huff (Sheila) of Kingsport, Tennessee, Sylvester D. Huff of Cincinnati, Ohio. 27 nieces and nephews, a host of great and great great nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Proceeding her in death are her Evelyn Carter(mother)and Charles F. Huff, Sr. (father), (brothers) Sylvester and Johnathan, (sisters) Henrietta and Gracie, (son) Johnny Crandall, (nephew) Lionel Price.
