Kevin Matthew Canavan passed away December 21st, 2016. Kevin was a cherished son, brother, cousin, nephew and friend to many. Most knew the struggles Kevin faced with depression and he chose to end his own life. He is finally at peace in mind and body. He will always be remembered for his quick and witty sense of humor, his talent for writing and performing his original music, and his artistic and creative drawings. Kevin was born January 19, 1995 in Cincinnati, OH. He attended Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy and graduated from Moeller High School in 2013. He completed some college level studies at BGSU and Pratt Institute in NYC. He was most recently employed as a photographer. Kevin is survived by his parents, Rick and Kathleen of Loveland, his sister Kelly of Columbus, OH, and their dog Bailey who was often the best at putting a smile on Kevin's face. He leaves behind his loving grandmother, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and treasured friends. For all those who have loved Kevin and his family, please honor his memory by remembering how he lived rather than how he died. Donations can be made to your local NAMI chapter or to a charity of your choice. Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Dr., Loveland, will be handling the arrangements with visitation on Tuesday 12/27 from 5-7PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Good Shepherd Church on Wednesday 12/28 at 10:00am with burial following at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
