Kenneth Elden Medert (Kenny), 90, of Loveland, Ohio beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away November 7th. He was raised in Loveland and lived there his entire life. He served in the Navy during World War II aboard the USS Oconto as a Gunners Mate. He was a general contractor and a school bus driver. He married Patricia Brown in 1963.
He is preceded in death by his parents Howard and Helen (Barr) Medert, his brother Max Medert, his aunt Helen Medert, brothers-in-law Robert and David Brown, son-in-law Daniel Sweeney and granddaughter Erin Elyse.
He is survived by his wife Pat and their children Jenny Sweeney, Ruth Wagoner (Larry), Kenneth Jr. (Regina), William, Howard and stepdaughter Liz Winslett (Chuck). Grandchildren Toby Rogerson, Jamie Revis, Danielle Sweeney, Nicholas Medert, Josie Wagoner, Jacob Wagoner, Julianne Wagoner, Rebekah Sweeney, and Mckennan Medert. Great granddaughter Skylar Boyd. Sister-in-laws Suellen Brown, Harriet Coffman (Jack), and Sue Medert. He had numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life on November 22nd from 3-6pm at the Loveland Historical Society Conference Building located at 201 Riverside Drive Loveland, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be made to The Wounded Warriors Project at the woundedwarriorsproject.org
