Kenneth "Ken" Hammons was born on June 28, 1927 to Green and Allie (nee Gilbert) Hammons and passed away at his home on April 4, 2014 at the age of 86.
He was self employed in the Blanchester area owning the Dairy Point and Ice House Carryout. He was a member of the Blanchester F& AM #191 and served in the US Navy.
He is survived by his wife Doris "Jean" (nee Sparks) Hammons; children, Blain Hammons and Kenny Haverly; grandchildren, Amanda (nee Hammons) Morris, Kenny Haverly Jr. and Beth Haverly; brothers and sisters, John Hammons, Jean King, Vernon Hammons and Anne Fleming.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Karen Haverly, a brother, Victor Hammons, sisters, Ruby Howard and Lela Smallwood.
Friends will be received from 6-8 PM with Masonic Services at 7:45 pm on Tuesday April 8, 2014 at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St. Blanchester, OH 45107 where services will be held on Wednesday at 1 PM.
Interment Clinton Co. Memory Gardens Wilmington, OH.
