IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth F.
Fountain, Sr.
October 9, 1952 – January 25, 2026
Kenneth F. Fountain, Sr., of Blanchester, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on January 25, 2026, at the age of 73.
He was the beloved father of Margaret Ruth Fountain, Rebekah (Timothy) Baggs, Kenneth F. (Rachel) Fountain, Jr., and Anna Marie Fountain; loving grandfather of Brianna (Hunter) Macy, Micah Baggs, Cecily (Drew) Haddix, Joshua Baggs, Madeline Fountain, and Silas Fountain; proud great-grandfather of Leonidas Macy and Arya Macy; cherished brother of Donald Fountain and Beverly Croteau.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Valma M. Fountain; parents, Raymond and Marjorie (Abernathy) Fountain; sister, Donna Darlene Matthews.
Kenneth grew up in Ottumwa, Iowa, where, as a young man, he accepted Christ as his savior. After graduation from high school, Kenneth attended Midwestern Bible College in Pontiac, Michigan. After graduating from bible college, he moved to Ohio where he met and married his wife, Walma. Kenneth and Valma had a heart to teach children about God's love. They served at First Baptist Church of Milford and Batavia Baptist Temple as one heart, with God's love to the world as their mission. In 1994, Kenneth started the Gospel Light Baptist Church in Blanchester, Ohio. After the death of his sweet wife, Kenneth joined Woodville Baptist Church continuing to work in children's ministry. Two things Kenneth lived for each year was Vacation Bible School and Summer Youth Camp. The excitement and energy Ken radiated made his VBS and camps legendary as he strove to make each event "the place to be" with the sole purpose of sharing God's love with children and young people of all ages.
Kenneth loved spending time with his family and working in the garden. He enjoyed going to see his grandchildren in various musical programs, sporting events, as well as school and church programs. His heart's desire was to encourage his family to love and serve the Lord by keeping Him the center of their life.
Friends will be received from 5PM to 8PM on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W Main St., Blanchester, Ohio.
The funeral service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Woodville Baptist Church, 10970 Woodville Rd, Blanchester, OH 45107, with Pastor Guzman officiating.
Following the funeral service, Kenneth will be laid to rest next to his wife at Graceland Memorial Gardens in Milford, Ohio.
