Katherine Olsian, (Miss Kay) age 80 Passed away, unexpectedly Sunday February 9 at 7:30 A.M. Beloved wife of the late George Olsian, mother to Jean Maples and George S. Olsian, mother-in-law to Jim Maples and Nancy Hunt, grandmother to Brandi Maples Warner and husband Greg, Janelle Maples Hopper and husband Jay, Nick Alberson, Jeff Alberson, and Kelly Donavon, great grandmother to Alice B. Warner, and Evan, Annabelle, and Emma Hopper. Miss Kay moved into the community of Loveland 8 years ago, after losing her husband and surviving a battle with breast cancer. Shortly thereafter, she created "Miss Kay's Story Time" at Loveland McDonalds, a favorite weekly hour of reading, singing, and dancing for dozens of children from Loveland and the surrounding areas. With energy beyond her years, Kay found time for everyone. She was extremely active in the Loveland Community Senior Center. She hosted weekly bingo and threw birthday parties for the seniors. She played in a kitchen band uplifting the spirits of many in local nursing homes. She has touched so many lives, being a friend, mother, and grandmother.
