Dear mother of Angela (Tyler) West of Blanchester, OH, Shawn Satchwell of Maineville, OH, MSgtUSAF Chance (Kellee Kelemen) Cook of St. Louis, MO and Cody (Kelly) Cook of St. Louis, MO. Proud grandmother of Alexis West of Blanchester, OH. Beloved sister of Karla (Doug) Cox and Kay (Andy) Brausch, both of Blanchester, OH. Karan is also survived by her beloved mother Rebecca (nee Shaffer) Wood, her special cousin Sue Kratzer and brother-in-law Don (Loretta) Cook of Bonita Springs, FL. Karan was preceeded in death by an infant granddaughter Evelyn Frances Cook. She will be missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, friends, church family and co-workers. She was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on September 26, 2012 after bravely battling pancreatic cancer. Karan worked as a Regional Quality Executive with Overland Solutions in Kansas City, MO. She also was the Treasurer with the First Church of God in Blanchester for 15 years. Friends and family will be received from 4-8 PM on Sunday September 30, 2012 at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St. Blanchester, OH 45107, where services will be held at 11 AM on Monday October 1, 2012 with Pastor Kevin Beck officiating and Pastor Brent Cunningham ministering in music. Interment will be at the Blanchester I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Pastor Brent Cunningham officiating. Family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Clinton Co.
