The eldest daughter of Herman C. Furniss and Ethel Liston Furniss, she was born on October 30, 1916 in Pickaway Co., Ohio. She was the widow of Lincoln W. Hurst. June Hurst will be remembered as a loving mother, a devoted wife and a dedicated primary education teacher. Her teaching career spanned many years and she taught at the Maineville, Milford and Sycamore school districts. June is survived by her daughter, Jeanne H. Savona and husband Tom of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandson Mark L. Sheldon and wife Sheryl of Milford, Ohio; great-grandsons Cameron and Tate Sheldon and many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Lynne.
