Judy Ellen (nee Kreitzer) Burkhart, 72, of Morrow, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2018. Born on July 27, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio, daughter of Edward Kreitzer and Mary (nee Schindler) Kreitzer. Judy graduated from Stivers High School in Dayton, Ohio in 1963 and in February of that year married her husband, Tom Burkhart. She retired from Little Miami Schools where she worked as a cook and special needs aide. Working with special needs children is what she loved to do. Judy enjoyed cheering on the Cincinnati Reds, gardening, and swimming. However, her greatest joy of all was spending time with her family. She was the beloved wife of 55 years of Tom Burkhart; cherished mother of Kimberly Burkart Ertel; loving grandmother of Justin Helmecamp, Neil Ertel, Emily Combs, and Jackson Ertel; proud great-grandchildren Mia Baudendistel and Liam Ertel; dear sister of Janet Burkhart and Esther Davis. Along with her parents Judy was preceded in death by her daughters, Judith Carole Burkhart and Kelley Marie Burkhart Combs. A funeral service will be at 1pm on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio, where friends will be received from 11am until the time of service. Interment will take place at Edwardsville Cemetery, Harlan Township.
