Joyce Sehlhorst, 79, passed away on January 16, 2023, at the residence of her daughter in Blanchester, Ohio. She lived most of her life in Fairfield, Ohio.

She retired from Avon after 28 years of employment. Joyce became a substitute paraprofessional with special needs at Fairfield City Schools where she transferred to Project Life through Butler Tech working in the transitional program with special needs adults. She enjoyed volunteering at the New Life Mission in Hamilton and other local ministries. Joyce was a member of East River Road Baptist Church. She loved vacationing and traveling with her husband around the United States, as well as, taking family vacations to the beach.

Joyce is survived by her two daughters, Lisa (Lee) Haynes and Tari Gregory; five beautiful grandchildren whom she loved and adored, Jesse (Ashlynn) Smith, Taryn (Sam) Fairbanks, Macy Lee (Jimmy McNamara) Gregory, Gabe Jennings Gregory, and Shawna Haynes; four great-grandchildren Tyler Smith, Parker Smith, Harley Smith, and Arvella Fairbanks; a beloved brother, Johnny Carpenter; sister, Faye Tumbleson; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Sehlhorst; parents, Fred Bruning and Mary Fitzgerald; brother, Fred Bruning; beloved Aunt Ann and Uncle Bill Williams; dear cousins Billy and Nancy Williams; Aunt (mother) Dolly Peterson.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12pm on February 4, 2023, at the Blanchester Church of the Nazarene, 10451 State Route 28, Blanchester, OH 45107, where friends will gather from 11am until the time of service.
