Joyce Marilyn (nee Auger) Border, age 77, beloved wife of the late Glen Border, passed away September 19, 2014 in Mason, Ohio. Joyce was born in Saugus, Massachusetts to Claude H. and Myrtle (nee Smart) Auger. She graduated from Woodward High School in 1955 and earned an Associates Degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1957. She is survived by three children, Patti (Nick) Emmack, Jeff Border and David (Sherri) Border, and four grandchildren, Alan Emmack, Kayla, Thomas and Jeffrey Border. She was predeceased by her brother, Claude H. Auger, Jr., and is survived by her brother, Raymond Auger and sister, Jean Cruise as well as many nieces and nephews. Joyce was the ultimate Mother, Auntie Joyce and Nana, caring for many relatives, both young and old, over the years. She cherished her long-term friendships. Joyce was a member of Montgomery Presbyterian Church since 1974 and taught Sunday school there for six years, played in the handbell choir for 16 years, served as a deacon, and was an active participant in many committees. She was also a member of the Ruth Circle for over 30 years. If desired, memorial contributions may be sent to Montgomery Presbyterian Church, or the Alzheimers Association. Services will be Saturday, September 27 at Montgomery Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. Family will be receiving visitors at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. prior to the service.
