IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joyce Elaine
Baston
June 6, 1939 – January 7, 2024
Joyce Elaine Baston, born in Middletown, OH on June 6, 1939, went to be with her heavenly father on January 7th, 2023. Elaine was the daughter of Eugene and Dorothy Sheap, and sister to Calvin Sheap [Darlene]. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Clyde E Baston, and children Valorie [Carl] Bloomer, Elidee [Michael] Mason, Mechele [Scott] Napier, and Rhonda Malott. She enjoyed her 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren as well.
Elaine graduated from Kings Mills High School. She then attended the University of Cincinnati where she earned a certificate in Business Administration.
Elaine was a loving and devoted mother as well as a community leader. She was a postmaster, helped start a library in Maineville as well as the Loveland News World. She was very involved in the Little Miami School district. She was a Girl Scout Leader for several years and helped form the Daisy Scout Branch in Ohio. Elaine also ran, with her family's help, Testerman Park concession stand for many years. She held many office positions from Gibson Greeting Cards, and Schaefer's Roofing. She retired from FAC's as a benefits specialist. Working with and being an advocate for the mentally handicapped of Warren County and the State of Ohio is a legacy which the community will benefit for years to come.
In Revelation 21:4 it reads, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away." We are joyous you are in heaven doing cartwheels, but we will surely miss you when we notice the empty chair.
