Jovita "Jo"Chavez Sutherland, 87, long time resident of Medway and Fairborn, Ohio. Lived at Cedar Village Retirement Community in Mason, Ohio. Beautiful daughter of Crescencio and Pasquala Tijada Chavez, born in Jerome, Arizona, on February 15, 1926, the youngest of thirteen children. Went to be with loving husband, Coleman "Cole" Sutherland on Thursday, August 22, 2013. Loving mother of Blanca Maria Aldredge (nee Sutherland), Linda Jo (Gary) Lustgarten (nee Sutherland) and Earl Coleman (Liz) Sutherland. Devoted grandmother to Sarah Beth Armstrong, Jonas Gideon Armstrong, Brandon Cole Sutherland, Laura Ann Sutherland and Zev Josef Lustgarten and Great Grandmother to Jerome Ezekiel "Zeke" Armstrong. Jovita traveled five continents spending the time to live with the people and learn their cultures. She studied the healing arts in China and was a teacher of Physical Therapy, tennis, yoga, Tai Chi and dance. She was a loving, giving, amazing lady full of grace and reverence. Private family services were held on Saturday, August 24, 2013.
