Joseph Edward Mansour, known as Joe to everyone he knew, was born February 10, 1936 to Edward and Mary Mansour. He has one sister, Loretta (Max) Plamondon and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. The story goes (and could be true) that he was the first Joseph born at the then brand-new St. Joseph's Hospital in Flint Michigan. Joe graduated from St. Matthew's High School in 1954; he was senior class president, king of the Christmas dance and a football star (at least in his mind). He traveled to Olean NY, minus his big toe, to attend St. Bonaventure University. He graduated with an accounting degree in 1958. In January 1961 he met Luanne McNeely while ice skating at Ballenger Park. They married in August 1961 and raised two daughters and one son. If you know Joe at all you know, that he loved his family. Other favorite past-times included: golfing, collecting and sharing golf balls, over 40 years of traveling to Florida every Easter with a caravan of friends, washing his cars, working in the yard, playing timed Hocus Focus, and eating breakfast with his classmates. Joe had a warm smile and hearty greeting for everyone he met—Everyone loved Joe and he loved everyone. Joe was able to find the joy in each day on this earth. Joe is survived by Luanne, his wife of nearly 60 years, daughter Nancy (Stewart) Greenlee, son Andrew (Cliff Mulnix), and Mary Beth (Steve) Duffy. Joe was blessed with four grandsons: Joe and Jack Greenlee, Sean and Aidan Duffy and his favorite granddaughter- Kate Duffy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Charities of Flint. There will be a memorial mass on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. Matthew's Church in Flint. We will hold a party in celebration of his life as soon as it is safe
