Jonathan W. Weeks, age 61, of Loveland, passed away January 25, 2021. Jon was the beloved husband of 32 years to Angela Weeks, loving father of Andrew Weeks, devoted stepfather of Candace Mayer and Leigh (Kevin) Copeland, proud grandfather of Samantha Copeland and Ronan Copeland, dear son of Wyatt and the late Norma Weeks, and dear brother of Anne Weeks.
Jon was born on June 11, 1959 in Defiance, OH. As a preacher's kid, or "PK" as he liked to refer to himself, Jon was always getting into trouble and enjoyed teasing his older sister, Anne. After graduating from Beavercreek High School in 1977, he moved to Cincinnati, OH and began his 40-year career in real estate in 1981.
In 1985, Jon met the love of his life, Angie, but they did not start dating until July of 1986, when he claims that she "brushed up against him" at Coconut Joe's during a happy hour with friends. He took that as his cue, and called her the next evening under the guise of wanting her Bahama Mama drink recipe. The two married on November 12, 1988.
Jon always treated his stepdaughters, Candy and Leigh, as one of his own, and took great pride in his two grandchildren, Samantha and Ronan. His son, Andrew, was his pride and joy, and he loved working on projects together around the house and office. The two enjoyed joking that "it wasn't a Weeks job, unless you did it twice."
His family was the most important thing to him, and he worked tirelessly to ensure they had the best life possible. Jon and Angie loved to travel, and seemed to make friends everywhere they went. The holidays were always a special time for Jon, and he thoroughly cherished each moment (and each meal) with family and friends.
Anyone that worked with Jon knew that he would do anything for his clients. His kind heart and incredible humor turned many of his clients and peers into lifelong friends, and were the foundation to his successes in business and life.
With a servant's heart, Jon was always driven to help those in need, and would regularly offer his assistance to friends and strangers alike. He was always willing to give of his time to others, and would remind his son each day to "help the little ones." Some of his favorite days of the year were during his annual trip to Red Bird Mission in Beverly, Kentucky, where he would help build and repair houses for those in need.
Jon's selflessness and his love of family, humor, food, travel, and his "perfect" dog Toby were an inspiration to many and will be greatly missed.
A private family service will be held. A livestream of the service will begin at 10:50 AM on Saturday, January 30 on Jon's obituary page on the funeral home website.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Red Bird Mission, 70 Queendale Center, Beverly, KY 40913 (http://www.rbmission.org/).
