IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jon
Helton
May 23, 1951 – December 12, 2025
Jonathan E. Helton, age 74, of Goshen, Ohio, passed away on December 12, 2025.
Jon was born on May 23, 1951, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Charles K. and Rose (née Gayjikian) Helton.
Jon was the proud business owner of HomeTeam Inspection and a licensed realtor for over 40 years. He was outgoing, funny, hardworking, and truly larger than life—the backbone of his family and a steady presence to so many. He coached countless children throughout the years in Goshen and left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered.
He was an amazing father and a devoted "Grampy." He shared a unique and special relationship with each of his boys and raised them to be loving, hardworking men. His grandchildren were his absolute world. Paula, his wife of over 48 years, was the love of his life and the one who tried to ground him. He was also deeply devoted to his loyal dog, Sparky, who was a constant companion and brought him great joy.
He loved Elvis, the Cincinnati Reds, Skyline Chili, black coffee, his 1970 Plymouth Fury, his hats, fishing, and storytelling. He was passionate and all-in with everything he did. His favorite place to visit was Holden Beach, North Carolina.
Jon is survived by his beloved wife, Paula Helton; his sons, Jon David Helton, Chris (Toni) Helton, and Zach (Caitlyn) Helton; his grandchildren, Austin Haerr and Gracelyn Helton; his brother, Charlie "Vic" (Glenda) Helton; his sister, Cindi (Billy) Campbell; and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Greggie Helton.
