John Willis "JWick" Walker of Loveland, OH. Born on March 10, 1931 in Jellico, TN. Went home to be with the Lord on August 2, 2018 at the age of 87.
John proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy Korean Conflict Veteran; he served his community as a volunteer firefighter/EMT with the Miamiville Fire Department, was a member of the Military Amateur Radio Service (MARS) and the Milford Amateur Radio Club and served for more than 15 years as a volunteer with the Clermont County Disaster Agency (Emergency Management).
Beloved husband of the late Mary Nan (nee Lay) Walker. Loving father of Dwayne Walker and Margaret Jane (Kenneth) Conover. Caring grandfather of Kristie (Darren) Woodruff, Tim Walker, Ashley (Kevin) Whitener, Jennifer Conover (Brent) Yaun, Shelby (Trent) Lindsey and Jayson Conover.
Dear brother of the late Margaret Proffitt, Jane Barkley and Larry Walker. Special father-in-law of Pat Claypool-Burrier (Dave). Cherished son of the late Lawrence and Clara (nee Tidwell) Walker. Proud great-grandfather of Dylan Woodruff, Hunter Woodruff, Amelia Whitener, Eli Whitener, Gracie Lindsey and Olivia Yaun (due to arrive in October). Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 6, 6 PM - 8 PM at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 1 PM.
Interment with military honors, Graceland Memorial Gardens, Miami TWP.
