John Walter Sherbon, 80, of Mason, Ohio formerly of Ithaca, passed away on December 22, 2013 at Mason Christian Village in Mason, Ohio. John was born October 31, 1933 in Lewiston, Idaho, the son of Ollis and Anges Jones Sherbon. He was a Professor of Food Science at Cornell University for 32 years, retiring in 1995. John is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth Poppens Sherbon; loving daughter, Barbara (Michael) Wood; loving son, William "Bill" Sherbon; and cherished granddaughters, Chelsea Wood and Leah Wood. A memorial service will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church 101 South Lebanon Road, Loveland, Ohio 45140 on Saturday, December 28 at 11 AM with visiting time from 10-11 AM.
