John Jerry Smerdel Jr. of Morrow, OH. Born on July 25, 1958 in Frankfurt, KY. Went home to be with the Lord on February 15, 2021 at the age of 62. Beloved husband of Lisa Marie (nee White) Smerdel. Loving father of Angela (Gaspar) Santos and Matthew Smerdel. Proud grandfather of Isabela and Gabriella Santos and Marlee and Phoenix Smerdel. Dear brother of Laura (Jeff) Arrotta and the late Penny (Norman) Rogers. Cherished son of the late John Jerry Sr. and Thelma Lee (nee Mays) Smerdel. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends. Jerry worked at Zumbiel Packaging for 43 years. Friends will be received from 10 AM - 11 AM on Saturday, February 20 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will begin at 11 AM. Interment, Goshen Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Jerry Smerdel to OAR, Ohio Alleycat Resourse, 5619 Orlando Pl., Cincinnati, OH 45227 or to PAWS Adoption Center, 6302 Crossings Blvd., Monroe, OH 45050.
