John Samuel Botts of Goshen, OH. Born on June 21, 1947 in Cincinnati, OH. Passed away on August 26, 2019 at the age of 72. Beloved husband of the late Marlene Dorothy (nee Reiners) Botts. Father of John Jason Botts, Jeffrey Allen Botts and Thressa Lynn Jones. Caring grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Loving brother of Jacqueline (Michael) McCabe, Roberta "Bobbie" (Robert) Johns, George (Elizabeth "Boots") Botts and the late Candice R. Laxton, Carol Botts, Pat Dekulve and Kenneth Botts. Cherished son of the late George K. and Florence Roberta (nee Newton) Botts. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends. John proudly served in the United States Army in Germany during the Vietnam Era. John enjoyed playing pool, watching NASCAR and was an avid classic car enthusiast as well as high performance cars and muscle cars. Friends will be received on Thursday, August 29 from 10 AM - 11 AM at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will begin at 11 AM. Interment, Evergreen Cemetery, Miamiville, OH. Pastor Bill Hounshell will be the minister for John's services.
