John B. Pol passed away on June 13, 2022 at the age of 88. He was born in LaPorte, IN on April 11, 1934 to John Baptiste and Ilone Fountain Pol. John attended Purdue University one year before transferring to the University of Cincinnati where he graduated in 1959 with a degree in Architecture. He became a partner at Baxter Hodell Donnelly Preston, Architects where, during his 30-year career, he worked on many projects around Cincinnati, including the award-winning Mariemont High School, and many Federated Department Store buildings across the country. In addition to his professional life, John was involved in Kiwanis, and enjoyed many years wintering at their condo in Longboat Key, FL. John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Adams Pol, his brothers, Walter (Sheryl) Pol, Linn (Rhonda) Kiff, children Jean, Julie, Jerry, Jodi and John, and step-children Don Wykoff and Cheryl Goforth, along with 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Gravesite services will be at Spring Grove Cemetery (4521 Spring Grove Ave.) on Friday, June 17th beginning at 1:30pm.
